Where can I buy affordable furniture?

I need to get furniture but don’t have a lot of money. I want a modern look without having to take out a loan. I also don’t want to buy second hand because most stuff is outdated and also for sanitary reasons. I like some of the Ikea stuff but wonder if you’ve found similar stores with better prices. I live in Maryland and don’t mind having my stuff shipped as long as it doesn’t bring up the price too much. I need sofas, lamps, desks, chairs, bedroom stuff. Etc. Any ideas? Thanks.
I agree with CSM, Target is very cute and contemporary and not too expensive. Walmart has just launched a new home decorating line too. Have you checked out Home Goods? I hear they have good prices.

IKEA stuff is nice looking but most of it is just pressed board with laminate. You can get the same type of quality at Wally World or Target.

I would try IKEA, heard they sell really nice things for the best price. Oh and they are having a big sale going on right now, i would say it is the best choice.
A favorite furniture store of mine is TheFurnitureDomain.com. They have a good range of price points, so don’t get discouraged if you see something expensive – there are some high-end brands, but there are also some affordable brands that I have found to be a better quality than IKEA or Target. I’m not sure what your budget is, but I’d recommend checking out Linon Home Decor, Southern Enterprises and Prepac. Also, no matter what you buy, it ships free! A lot of stores lure you in with seemingly good prices, and then when you add it to your cart the shipping fees are insane. Hope you find some nice things 🙂
