we live in a condo and we are putting in laminate floors, our rules only allow laminate wood flooring in entry way, kitchen kitchen nook and bathroom. now our kitchen nook/dining room is connected by a bar. the they are open to each other via over the counter top. the huge counter top flows into a bar which on the other side sites a small table and bar stools up to the counter… is this considered a dining room or kitchen nook

A kitchen nook is a small space for eating light meals attached to the kitchen …a diningroom is a room designated for a table and chairs and formal/sit down family meals.
It sounds like a nook. A nook is usually a little space attached to a kitchen. A dining room is a separate room.
