What is the legality of putting some couches and chairs in these things?

There are these overgrown pathways in my town that I have never seen anyone go into. They are fenced off but the fences are usually open. I don’t think it’s private property. I think they are there because there are very large telephone polls that are put there.
we want to put some chairs in the middle of those and hang out in them. Is that legal? If not, how much trouble could we get into for this?
It sounds like some kind of easement for the telephone poles. The easement is to allow access, so adding furniture would be considered littering, dumping, or blocking access, whatever they decide to stick you with.
I’d suggest you get some of those lightweight portable chairs and bring them with you when you want to hang out.
