I have a dining room table and chairs and would like to re-stain or paint them, but I’ve never done this before. Does anyone know of any good non-commercial sites that might help?

We’re having a dining room table and 6 chairs delivered today. I know it is pretty heavy, so how much should I tip the delivery guys? I’m paying for the delivery itself, but I’m not sure what the norm is on tipping for something like this.
