I personally like the look of modern bar stools with their bright colors and crazy designs. I have been looking for some my self and just came across a great website.
That depends on what you like and the rest of your house. If your house is traditional you can still use modern (ish) barestools. You can always mix alittle modern with traditional as long as neither is too extreme.
