Question about concrete surface texturing?
I’m wondering about do-it-yourself concrete surfacing / texturing. I had a quote of /sq ft and just about fell off my bar stool (note to file: Don’t go shopping for contractors in the tavern)
I heard of a guy who did his own texturing by wrapping a t-shirt around a paint roller and he ended up with a very sleek slate-like appearance.
This is an exterior sidewalk and driveway.
Any thoughts from the experts?
/ft??? That’s about k for 1200sqft!! The concrete is going to cost me about k. For 8 hours work for two guys, that works out to about 0/hr per man. You guys have GOT to be joking.

4 bucks a sq. ft is a bargain…a broom job is a standard sidewalk finish…
edit: the 4 bucks is for tear out or digging , putting down a base , forming it , pouring it and finishing it…just to show up and finish it, it should cost you about a buck a sq. ft…
