Marrige Proposal Ideas?

I want to propose to my girlfriend of seven years. The only problem is i dont know how to do it without being cheesy. My brother suggested that i put the box under a bar stool chushion so when she sits down she’ll feel it. but i think thats kind of stupid. i have to go to Hawaii for a job app and i was thinking i could take her there but i still wouldnt know how to do it without looking like and idot. please help!
Hiya 🙂 First off congrats!! I suggest you propose to her spontaneously, so it’s unexpected. That, imo, makes it so much more special! Being spontaneous doesn’t make it less romantic either. I dunno what you think of this one but my Dad proposed to my Mum in a bar/club. The staff were all in on it too because they went there regularly so my Mum didn’t expect anything. He just got down on his knee, took out the ring opened the box thing and said "Babe, will you be my Husband?" ’cause he was really nervous lol. So then he said "I love you, will you marry me?". My Mum laughed and said "No." and my poor Dad went all red and embarrassed lol. Then my Mum sat there laughing and said "I mean no, I won’t be your Husband, ’cause your supposed to be mine! How about I be your wife instead!?" So he started laughing and then he tried again lol, this time he said "Will you be my wife?" My Mum laughed and said "Of course!!!" and they hugged and kissed. Because the staff were in on it, they had been watching my parents. Then they came over and sprayed a champaigne at them and scatered rose petals 🙂 No lie lol, this is a true story. I think it was soo cute lol …. a year later they were married and now almost 20 years after their marriage they have three teenagers. I just think its so cute haha 🙂 anyway, my point is don’t do the whole You’re the best thing in my life and I want to spend my whole life with you etc because then she’ll know it’s coming. You can say that to her after if you like lol, but I think the initial proposal should be spontaneous. Make it somewhere that you regularly go so she won’t suspect anything unusual. Then just come out with it and pop the question. Another idea I saw on a programme was this guy filmed an advert asking his girlfriend would he marry her and with the help of some channel company or something they put the ad on during her favourite show that she never misses lol. I also like the idea of the guy calling her and saying it’s you and you want to marry her lol. Congratulations and best wishes!!! 🙂 x
Here’s something that could help-
Bring her out for shopping and do whatever she wants to do, and have a really great day with her. At the end of the day, or after maybe a nice fancy dinner or walk at the beach, propose to her.

You could have the bartender fake a phone call for her and have him say it’s you asking her to marry you, and when she looks at you strangely you could be holding the ring out to her.Or you could take her to dinner if she goes to Hawaii with you and during the show have one of the hula dancers dance over to her and tell her you have something to ask her and then do it on your knee in front of the whole restaurant.
Only you know her and know what she likes. Think of how much you love her and what the best way to express that is. If you take her to Hawaii, the sunsets are beautiful (hint, hint) on the beach. Or, if you don’t take her, propose to her in the airport when she comes to pick you up. But, these are just mere suggestions. You should know her well enough to know what she would be absolutely dazzled by.

ask her what her favorite memory with you is……….try to rein act it but involve the proposal……my husband always told me he loved me i would say i love you more………u know the silly little i love you more game but he would always say prove it…..well one night under a moonlit sky he said this to me and i said prove it because he didn’t say it that night…..he took out the ring and asked me to marry him……so i think its important to say it/do it in a way that you would like to remember. good luck to u and congrats……if she has been with u that long im sure no matter how u ask it will be a yes
Take her to Hawaii with you. Go to the beach and write "Marry me?" in the sand when it’s low tide where the water won’t hit it. Go get her and take her for a walk and stop and ask her where you wrote it 🙂
