I have a lot of furniture that is mis matched from the 70’s. Any suggestions on how to make them look better?
I have an orange living room chair, a green living room chair, and a lot of fake wood furniture.
Thanks!
burn it.
maybe have each colored piece in a different room. Get the fabric clean(like when they detailed cars). Refinish the wood and use a liquid duster(this adds shine). Maybe make your basment or bedroom totally 70’s. You could also cover the furnitre with a fabric of your choice(just drape over) then tie it with a large ribbon(like they do with wedding chairs at a reception)
Or just sell it
hope this helped could you answer mine?

I helped a friend’s daughter make slipcovers for her old living room furniture. She chose a fabric called "unbleached domestic". It’s a very plain fabric that is not quite white, more a wheat color. She wanted that so she could pick cushions and such of just about any color. I was shocked at how well they turned out. It was like a face lift for her apartment!
You can buy patterns for slipcovers or just purchase them at stores. I think it’s more fun to pick your own colors.
