How to fix cat scratches on kitchen chair seats?

We are a military couple and just recently got a kitten. We are using loner furniture and the kitten is clawing up the seats of the kitchen chairs. The seats are not plush but are not leather, it’s almost like a pleather.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix these scratches? I’ve seen things about using pigments to help but does that also work with non-leather materials?

Forget any patch kits if this loaner furniture is from an on-base housing authority. You may have to have them re-covered.
Not trying to be smart, but pet damage is your responsibility…actually the uniformed person’s & it could reflect in his/her jacket file.
You are going to have to figure out how to stop the kitten’s scratching now…it can reflect on promotions.
Also, if you are in government housing, when you get transfer orders, be sure that the unit is as clean as when you moved in…a unit that has to be re-cleaned will be charged back to the uniformed person & be reflected in their jacket also. I knew of someone who got bumped off the promotion roster for a dirty unit.
Good luck…
You try going to your local home improvement store or even Walmart and ask for the leather/vinyl repair kit.
It may work.
Get plenty of scratching posts for your kitty and when you see it scratching at something you don’t want it to scratch, get a spray bottle filled with water and aim at the butt and firmly tell him no.
🙂
Going through this right now with our kitty and it really seems to help.
(water bottle and plenty of toys, and scratching posts.)
You can also go to a fabric store and cover you chairs with new fabric that will last longer
