how many square feet in a hide?

i need to order leather for bar stools that take one yard of leather and the leather is sold by the hide…
If you can try to find out from your leather vendor. Also remeasure your barstools and be sure a square yard is what you need. Hides vary in size and color too so there is some waste, and often matching issues. Have you thought about some of the quality synthetic fabrics? Barstools get spun on sat on and genrally take alot of abuse without creating alot of visual impact. Either way just work with your vendor to get the right amount of material, and youll be bellying up to the bar in no time.
I will guess at 20-24 sq ft..but you need to contact your dealer and ask how big their hides are..depends on the cow.
