I’m new @ this but it said dry cleaning & laundry — if yur a professional — use chemical wexpo – oil based chem – that would clean it rite up, then u should seeka new profession cause u should have known how to spot clean that.
If I was wrong and yur not a professional – best way is take it to a dry cleaners w/a plant on premises and just ask dude if he can spot clean it real fast for u… they prob do it for free — takes but a second wexpo/brush tap/steam blow/air blow — and he’s done.
I do things like that free no charge.
You could do it yurself, but spot might run and smear a bit making the whole area dingy, plus I don’t think that is machine washable — if u smear it and decide to wash it — u prob shrink it.
if you’re going to do it yurself no matter what… get a tad of regular amonia ( about 1 teaspoon ) add a little table salt to it ( about a burger king condiment package size ), mix it till salt dissolves, get a q – tip flush the spot with it — tap tap tap w/ th q tip on spot, get a damp cloth ( COLD water ) and rub. Goodluck
oh dude i re read yur question —- what is a ottoman? and can it be taken off? and what kid of material is it? [email protected] (thats a L )
I’d wait on that amonia solution — need to know what material that ottoman is.

Why would your wife want black eye shadow? Did you try just a wash cloth with a little soap on it?
Maybe makeup remover, or carpet cleaner.
