The back of the chairs are wooden crisscross pattern. Fine line cracks appeared on the side chairs after guest sat on them for the first time.
I’d start with the store that sold the chairs to you. Even if they don’t stand behind their products, they should be able to tell you where to go for warranty work. There is something called the Uniform Commercial Code and it says that when you buy something brand new it needs to be fit to fill the purpose that you bought it for. In this case, the chairs are cracking and that defeats their purpose as a piece of furniture that’s safe for adults to use safely. Someone will stand behind these products. Alexander Julian is just too large and prestigious to allow back press for sloppy workmanship.
