Can I re-cover my bean bag chairs with oilcloth? How do I keep the new cover from shifting?

I have ugly bean bag chairs that need new covers. They must be sturdy and safe for kids. How do I get the new cover to "stick" to the original bean bag vinyl?
Be careful with oil cloth, it can rip real easily. You really need to get vinyl and redo the bag by making a new bag. Nothing will stick to the one you have because it is to ply able.
you will have to hand sew it to the bean bags. then it should stay.
Why not just make new covers and transfer to beans into the new one. Patterns are available.
