I’m moving soon into a house that will probably will be unfurnished. I’m saving money and don’t want to have to spend loads on new furniture. Where can I get free/cheap beds, tables, chairs, etc? I don’t mind second hand.
I’ve tried Gumtree and Freecycle. Is there any second furniture stores that do free/cheap home deliveries?
Then why is there is section purely devoted to the United Kingdom?

try charity thrift stores like salvation army or goodwill or what ever u have in liverpool. thats where i get most of my furniture & everything & keep an eye on freecycle also try your local version of craigs list. all sort of stuff there. watch yard sales, estate sales etc. some times great stuff found there. good luck. happy hunting.
Ummm…. This is the American yahoo. I dont think anyone would know. Sorry. =(
the council’s Bulky Bob furniture recycling scheme reconditions unwanted furnature and sells it in the revive store on London Road.
Electrical goods are reconditioned atCREATE wherever that is
I’d keep looking on Freecycle for he offered posts rather than posting wanted posts on there.
If you keep an eye on it for a few days something should turn up.
The Oxfam shop on Smithdown road in Allerton is mostly, if not all furniture.
Other than that I suppose the Merseymart ( free local paper).
Ps. If you click on the link to the UK Yahoo answers on the bottom of the page then ask your question there,it will just be seen by people in the UK and not by remotely located pedants.
CREATE is on Woodend Ave in Speke.
From the Asda at Hunts Cross head towards Speke Airport, past the old Triumph Factory, just as you go over the bridge its the last building on your left before the car dealership on the corner.
They sell refurbished white goods, washing machines, fridges etc.
for wardrobes, drawers & beds try kut-a-bill on Smithdown Road its cheap and offers delivery too theres also a shop on the opposite corner that sells refurbished cookers and electrical appliances
prescot road also has a few furniture shops that offer good deals
hope this helps.
also if you have todays ECHO there is something about bulky bobs selling stuff tomorrow which will be very cheap it says in the echo were about etc its bottom left of the left page not sure on the page number
