that’s a picture of my living room. My boyfriend (live-in) says it needs to be changed, he wants to get rid on the chair and get 2 more chairs. The window is south facing and lets lots of light in.
I forgot to mention that the tv can’t be too far from the couch because we have a wii and the controllers don’t work if they are too far away.

Put the TV where the drums are but diagonally, so that there is space between the corner of the wall and the back of the TV stand. Take the Sofa and flip it so that it’s against the wall that has the chair and small table. Then take the chair and small table and place them against the wall where the couch was. Have the smaller table be between the sofa and the chair. Take the bigger table and put it in front of the sofa. Make sure that the sofa’s short side is pressed right against the wall that your door is located on. (If you do end up getting 2 new chairs, move the sofa down so it touches the wall with the window and then set the 2 chairs and small table up as ‘Chair’, ‘Table’, ‘Chair’.) Lastly, move the drums to where the table is on the picture.
This layout will make your tv the focal point and the configuration of the sofa and chair and 2 tables will emphasize looking towards the tv and also the window and drums. The small table can be used by the chair(s) and people on the sofa have a higher chance of bringing things in since they won’t have to get up to put something down on a table that’s all the way across the room. The table in front of the sofa compliments the sofa. The drums aren’t so cramped near the door, also, and if a performance is due, then it’s easier to see. Hope this helped!
well lets see were the table is put the sofa were the drums are put the chairs were the tv is put it against the wall and take the rest and just be creative:)
Move everything counter-clockwise, to the next wall. Your sofa is now where your table and chair are; your t.v. is across from the sofa; the table is still to the left of the sofa. Flip the drum set to the other side of the window…… What do ya think?!?!?
Move the TV and cabinet along the back wall on the West wall or on the right of the drawing presented and center it.
Place the sofa across the room facing the TV to act as a room divider from the door entry walking space.
Sit your big chair and table in front of the window at an angle to face towards the TV area as well.
On both sides of the TV area it will allow for maybe a rocking chair or smaller sitting chair to be placed.
Drums and table can stay where they are if they do not create havoc on the traffic flow. Maybe use the table along the wall where you enter in the door can be placed along the wall where the sofa is now in the picture to make an accent in the room with a nice picture above it to use as a buffet area for company.
The big misconception about furniture is that people tend to push everything up against the walls.
Bring them in, facing each other to be more inviting and condusive to your needs as a functioning unit. Don’t be afraid to pull it out from the walls and angle any of them. Don’t be afraid of plants either…I use silk, it makes for a cleaner but still lovely setting.
move tv to table (where its next to drum place) ..
get ur sofa in the middle of the room
place the chair, next to the tv ..
drum to be put behind sofa, together with the table- on the corner side
get rid of the drums and put them in the shed lounge is no place for drums . then move your t.v where drums were move your settee where your table and your chair is and put one small table by the window and put nice curtains some flowers in the vase by the window
