Will my Toyota 4Runner pass inspection if the bumper reinforcement is broken?

I was driving on the highway a couple of months ago in the middle of the night and hit a bar stool someone put on the road. The bumper reinforcement cracked, but I taped it up with duct tape and forgot all about it until now. I’m going for my inspection today and don’t want this to run up the bill.

Depends on where you are and your local laws.
Vehicle/Safety inspections here in Cali; they usually go over the brake system, suspension, headlights/turn signals/hazard lights, brake lights, tires, seat belts, and sometimes they have you rev the car…idk why though on that one. I don’t think something like a bumper reinforcement is gonna fail you though, people drive around without bumpers…
