Where can I find some old, beat-up, or broken furniture (chairs, tables, couches, etc.) for little or no cost?

Reason why I would need old, beat-up, or broken furniture? I might be making a video with them. This, of course, is do-it-yourself speaking.

YARD SALES & FLEA MARKETS
Garage sales, thrift stores, freecycle.com, craigslist.com, etc. Actually, if you have ever been to your local landfill, there are usually couches and stuff there…but I don’t really know their policy on taking stuff from the landfill, might not be an option.
Good luck with your search.
Most cities, town and villages have days designated to garbage pick up for big items (like appliances, furniture, etc.). Find out when one is in your area and do some driving around- I’m sure you’ll find some good stuff. Otherwise post an ad on Craigslist in the ‘Wanted’ section…or check the Craigslist ‘Free’ section…there’s tons of ugly, broken down furniture out there looking for a new home! Oh, if you live in a college town/city move-in and move-out weekends are key to finding treasures on the curbs as well! You can always check out St. Vinnie’s, Savers (if they have them in your area), or Goodwill stores as well. St. Vinnie’s tends to be the cheapest of the three.
Best of luck!
Try freecycle.org or craigslist
Try http://www.craigslist.com. They have a site for free stuff there.
Dump?
Go to your local trash dump.
try the dump, or other people’s curbs
