What is the best way to protect and preserve furniture (table & chairs) made out of solid European Beech wood?

I have read wax, linseed oil, and standard Pledge will all do the job, but this is really expensive stuff that was bought at an estate sale, and nobody can seem to answer the best (and definitive) way on how to care for solid beech furniture. Thanks for your help!!!

dont use commercial sprays such as pledge, endust, etc.
personally i wouldn’t put any kind of a varnish or poly finish on the furniture, but others have with good success, however my personal choices would be a good quality beeswax furniture polish and that will give you a beautiful handrubbed glow as well as protecting the wood.
you can also use tung oil which is handrubbed into the wood and will give good protection as well.
both these methods were suggested to me by reputable furniture restoration people.
it sounds beautiful, protect it properly and you will enjoy it for years to come.
i always measure the tops of fine furniture and have glass cut and bevilled to fit the piece, thus eliminating the concerns of water rings, scratches, etc.
Lemon oil works best and is not too expensive and does not have to be applied often.
Beech wood, nice.
It is a naturally ‘tuff-stuff’ hardwood. It’s worst enemy is mildew. So best to just seal it with a latex poly. Clean the furniture before app.
Beech tends to stain whenever it gets moisture on it.
I would avoid the lemon oil because it bleaches. Tung oil is great since the wood needs some oil to keep it from drying out. After it drys you polish it to a beautiful shine. Use coasters on it to avoid the nasty looking rings. However, there are products at Home Depot that can remove them. Do NOT put polyurethane on it. It really depreciates the value.
