What is the approximate mark-up (percentage) on furniture?

Im trying to get an ida of the markup on things like this:
case goods such as bedroom dresser or chest,
living room furniture; couches, upholsterd chairs, end tables etc.
dining room tables/chairs, china cabinet etc

200-300 %…….my wife was a dealer……
300 percent.
yup…thats about right ,i worked in a furniture store and our markup was 300%
. the markup is 50-100% depending on the merchandise. in some high end stores the markup might be 100-125%. mattress stores work on a higher margin. your best bet to get a deal on a mattress is in a furniture store. i know because i own both.the markup is not nearly what people think.
