What color furniture should I choose?

I have a dark sapphire carpet in my living room with pale yellow walls. We want to get all new furniture for the room (sofa and 2 chairs and coffee and end tables) but are having a hard time deciding what would work. Any advice? Thanks!

dark colored furniture would look great, the contrast would look unique and it can really bring attention to your newly bought furniture
I would go for a grey (dark or light)) or a pale cool blue couch that works with your wall color and carpets. Get chairs that match the couch.
For wood, I think you could go for dark wood or light wood, just avoid mid tones.
Wenge would really work
