What color drapes would go with cherry wood furniture and white walls?
Im buying new drapes for the dining room which has all cherry wood furniture such as cabinets and a dining table and chairs. All of the walls are white except for one wall is a light tan color to contrast, it was a living room before the dining room but doesnt look bad, the drapes are old and i was wondering what color drapes would look best? if anyone has ideas or pictures please let me know! thanks!

Any color you like would go well. I would go with a print.
Go to JC Penney and look at some.

A rich deep plum colour. Otherwise green, a deep velvety green.
Hi
Great choices here. I would get a few colors and just try them…you will pick the one you like.
Cherry wood furniture…it is great

It all depends on the look you want to have in the end…Different colors lend themselves to different looks these looks are set off by your accent pieces. For instance
A pale color would work toward country french Pewter accessories and white tones with a hit of the color in the room.
An Avocado or Orange would be more modern wood accessories Avocados in a bowl, heavy wooden frames with lime/sage images.
A Royal Blue or Deep Red dark green would be more traditional Gold accessories and ceramics
Modern Contemporary blacks chocolates and geometric glass
So color plays a big part in what you do with the room. Whatever color you choose you can compliment with your items…Think of special things you may already have that you want in the room and build off them or your choice of a chandelier will be your first design choice work from there. That will set the tone of the room.
