was this place haunted?

ok in 2004 september to around april i lived in this house my ma was renting.. i believe it was built in like the 70′s or 80′s…

i was 13 at the time, and this was in redding california. and i had just recently immigrated from england… the house seemed to be ok at first but when my ma went on night shifts things seemed strange.. i remember once sitting in the dark kitchen with a high stool eating on the banister (like a bar) , and i heard a weird sort of scream like the one from the ring… inside my head. and another time when my ma was on nights i heard a creack from attic running in one line as if someone was walking across (my ma said it probably a coyote) , and another time the tv changed channel when i was middle of watching a movie.. and the rmote was ages away… the atmosphere in the house was just pretty scary…. i also haa strange dream… i dreamt that i left the garage door open…. and i ran in to shut it…. and i was like watching myself as like in a security camera kind of way.. like i saw myself running.. then the dream finished….
the next day as i was walking to bus stop i noticed i actually left it open… and it felt really really weird and i did the exact same thing i did in the dream… i ran under the garage door to shut it and then ran back under before it closed….

it was weird do u think this is odd? thank you for your time

remote was ages away…. it was about 5 ft away on the coffee table…
