I am painting my living room that is contemporary with large windows, There are two large cabinets that are brass, My sofa and chairs are white and with dark wood floors, what would be a complementary color for the walls and trim? Thanks Amazon.com Widgets

We recently installed wood floors and I don’t want the chairs to scratch. I have seen people do this but never thought to ask since we didn’t have it. What would be the best way to do this so the pieces don’t fall off, but yet not damage my chairs?
