I would like to purchase a new living room sofa, chair and ottoman…is it better to rent to own furniture, finance or layaway furniture?

It feels very soft, has a mild smell, but chair did not have white consumer tag underneath it but ottoman does, which says all new material. It’s bassett furniture; though package insert says A&P analine leather.
