please read and tell me if this is good!?
I sat down on the bar stool again, and grabbed my cell phone out of my pocket.
I dialed my dad’s number, and after the 3rd ring, I shut the phone. I wasn’t going to talk to my dad tonight. I was too much of a baby.
I walked out my house, and took a walk down my neighborhood. Every ones’ house was filled with lights, unusual. I thought. Who has their lights on at midnight? All of them?
I shrugged and closed my eyes. Tonight had a cook breeze, and it ruffled my hair. It felt good against my face, I stopped in my place, letting the air whoosh by me.
This moment was painless, and I never remembered anything that had happened over the past months or weeks. Everything was forgotten now, all I knew was that tonight felt good, and I didn’t remember a thing.
I spread my hands up in the air, and let the air hit them too, this was better.
My mind swirled with pictures of my family, Kimberlee, Grandma Annie, and finally; my mother.
I saw my mother’s face. Exotic and beautiful, she had bleach blonde hair, and it hung all the way down to her butt. She had blue crystal eyes that shone every minute of every day, and she had a flawless face, that was as pale as the moon. She had long black lashes that made her look like she was always wearing eyeliner. And, she didn’t have one wrinkle on her face.
I wanted to look at this memory forever, I wanted to look in her deep eyes, and remember everything we use to do together. How we used to make daddy pancakes, and feed them to him as a joke. And how we used to go shopping for daddy…..
No! As soon as I thought of my dad, mom’s picture disappeared and dads appeared. His dark black hair was shining, and his teal eyes looked like they were looking at me. His tan face was wrinkled and tired, but he still looked beautiful. We were such and exotic family.
“No!” I cried out. I wanted my mother back so badly; I wanted her to hug me again. And I wanted her to be here for me. Why did she have to leave me like this, alone and tired. I wanted my mother back, I don’t care if I was the reason she left. I don’t care about that! I just want her back, please just give her back to me!
Tears fell down my cheeks, and my eyes flew open. My hands were still up in the air, catching the wind as it went by. No, it wasn’t tears, it was rain. It was pounding on my head, and stinging my face. When did it start raining? I thought.
My hands fell to my side, limp. I turned around with not one thought in my head, and headed back to my house.
When I walked in the door, Kimberlee and Leo were sitting on the couch, with a bowl of popcorn and the TV on. I could hear screaming from the TV, and realized they were watching a scary movie.
Since when did Kimberlee watch scary movies? She hates them.
Kimberlee was wearing her favorite sweatpants, and a teal short sleeve shirt, with her make-up and hair the same way it was when she left. Her hand was in the popcorn bowl.
Leo had on a tight v-neck gray shirt, with baggy jeans. His brown hair was sticking out in little spikes on his head. His hand was in the popcorn bowl too.
I almost laughed to myself, they were such dorks.
“Holding hands in the popcorn bowl, eh?” I said.
They both jumped when I slammed the door shut, and Kimberlee looked over at me.
Her hand flew out of the popcorn, and pieces of it went flying.
“No.” She stated with her eyebrows pulled together in a scowl.
I was taken aback, but only for a couple of seconds. She deserved me walking in on her and Leo.
I walked across the room, and sat down on the couch next to Kimberlee. If she wanted to ditch me, then I get revenge.
There was this burning smell coming from the kitchen, it smelled horrible. Oh, it was burnt popcorn. I scrunched my nose at the smell, and slumped on the couch, waiting for Kimberlee to yell at me, finally I closed my eyes.
The yelling never came.
I never knew how tired I was until now, like all the sleepless nights put together. I drifted to sleep.
“What is that smell Leo?” I asked him, turning away from Stella’s sleeping body.
Leo looked at me confused, and I couldn’t help myself. He looked so cute, with his messy brown hair, and his cute green eyes. I couldn’t stop myself from falling into his arms.
His arms tightened around me for awhile, and then he shrugged away from me to go check out the smell in the kitchen.
I lied back against the couch, and looked down at Stella.
Why did she have to be so annoying? She could have just left us alone, she didn’t have to ruin everything.
“Stupid.” I muttered in anger.
She looked a little pale, but that was just because she didn’t like the sun. Hey hair was wet, and dripping. I didn’t notice until now that her whole body was soaking wet, and ruining the couch.
There was a loud groan from the kitchen, and Leo raced out of it, with his cell phone up to his ear.
“….yeah. Whatever mom. Of course, you could have driven him. Yeah, bye!” Leo shouted into the phone.
What was he talking about? I thought.
I quickly s
