Planning housewarming party?

My husband and I are planning a housewarming in celebration of our new and first home. We have limited seating, a long couch, a small kitchen table that sits four, and 2 bar stools. I do not want to rent tables and chairs but what should we do about this?

Call up mom or other relatives/friends and ask if you can borrow a few folding chairs. Don’t set them out unless you need them. Most people will want a tour of the house, snack on some tid-bits, and then stand around to chit-chat.
How many people are you planning on having? Most people usually don’t sit down for long, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Do you have a backyard or patio? Parties are more fun when there is mingling, etc. as long as you have room to do it. People will hang in the kitchen, and in bedrooms if you have food and drinks (mostly drinks).
