Is it normal to have blood on your stool?

Yesterday afternoon I came home and walked into my kitchen. My wife had dinner prepared and so we decided to eat in the kitchen. I went to take a seat on one of our bar-stools and it had blood on it.
I cant figure out where the blood came from and why it would be on the stool in the kitchen.
I heard that bloody stools arent a very good thing to have so I figured I would ask around.

Seriously, how could we know? Ask your family, if they don’t know, assume it’s ketchup.
I would go see a doctor blood in the stool is something you do not play around with.
if it went through your pants and onto the bar-stool…you really have a problem….
