Im buying stools for the bar in my apt. but dont know how tall to get the stools counter is about 36 in. tall.

The breakfast bar counter is about 36in. off the ground want simple saddle type stools but don’t know what height they should be most are 24-29 inch stools. thanks for your help!

Depending on your height but its common to use a 30" hgt stool on a 36" hgt counter. A reference for when your shopping is to ask for a counter hgt stool and the sales associate should be able to guide you to the right stools. There are even adjustable stools available.

There’s no "right" height… what you think is comfortable is what’s important. Think about how high you want the counter to be when you sit down… then measure from there. That should be your ideal height…
