Try looking on the receipt for a name or product number.
You might be able to find a similar type furniture store that may recognize the manufacturer’s code.
Assume you’ve already looked under the furniture, the cushions, and/or stuffed in the recesses beneath the cushion.
Look inside the cushion cover.
Try placing a notice on Craigslist to see if a former employee might be able to recall some names; crosscheck the Mfr. websites.
You might also contact your state’s Attorney General’s office [or search the gov. website]. There are provisions required to be made for any warranty coverage, etc. when a firm goes out of business.
Some furniture doesn’t hold up as well as others. We seem to replace ours every 2 to 5 years. Even if Leath was still in business, they wouldn’t perhaps replace your cushions. In sofas we have bought in the past, we have used boards under them for support when they have broken down. The only other thing to do is to take the cushions and have them redone or replaced at an upholstry shop. Oh, just a hint, the name of the manufacturer might be in a tag under the seating area or the bottom of the sofa.
I think your going to have to forget it. I and my wife sew, we make quilts and she is a tailor. You might think about an upholstery shop or someone who specializes in upholstery or sewing. This isn’t a hard job only someone who knows what to do. The material is going to cost you more. Your going to have to get some good material, not some of the cheaper stuff you find at Wal-Mart. You can put zippers in the back to take off for cleaning, we did ours this way, it works great for the grand kids when they make a mess.
