We were drinking and she was mouthing off to my wife and I just punched her in the jaw and knocked her off her bar stool, how do I make things right?

When it comes to in laws and their family things try not to get too involved unles it really involves your concern. ok here is what I think you might do…Take flowers to her accompanied by your wife appologice to her and tell her you were pretty drunk or tipsy and wasn’t thinking too straight.

I don’t see the problem here? Just tell the monster in law that you really love her daughter and when she was mouthing off to your wife your primal instincts(as a man) took over to defend her. If she has a problem with that, then it’s her problem.
Unless, your wife has a problem with it! Then it is your problem. The only way out is major ass kissing. Good-luck, your life is gonna be miserable.
