how old was your LO when they climbed onto furniture (couch, chair, etc)?
Our 13 month old climbed onto a stool when he was about 11 1/2 months old…this morning he put his sippy on the couch and was trying to get it and got between the footstool and the couch and almost ended up climbing onto the couch (basically used the footstool and a support to keep him from sliding back down).
He got his cup before he actually got all the way onto the couch so he seemed to be content again and then just kinda slid back down to the floor.
he’s been trying for a while to get into the rocking chair…will start trying to pull himself up using the armrests and will start picking his right foot up off of the floor but just can’t get it high enough to step on the rung to get up there…

My daughter was walking at 8 months old and climbing out of her playpen and crib at 9 months old… she’s was a little monkey. She’s 5 now and not much has changed
My daughter was 10 months.
She just started this in the past few weeks. She’s 15.5 months.
That sounds cute, lol. My oldest didn’t start climbing on things until he was around 1 1/2 years old. My youngest is almost 11 months old and was actually trying to climb into the bath tub today (he had dropped his toy in the bath tub). It was pretty funny, he kept trying to lift his leg even though he isn’t tall enough to get it into the tub.
My son is 8 months old and is already trying to pull himself up on everything. Crib, couch, stairs, chair, coffee table, entertainment center to get the t.v., doors to get the handle, me, even tries to climb the walls!
When my son starts getting mad I use my hand as a stepping stone to help him push himself higher. Or sometimes he can’t figure out how to get up on something and I’ll show and tell him how to do it. He’s 30 inches long and 25 pounds so he’s pretty tall for his age!
Right after she started walking, (10.5 months old) used to get me all worked up, because she didn’t know how to get down, and she fell off a couple of times. Now she is so much of a pro at it, she has learned to climb into the bookcase which is about 4 inches taller then the couch cushions. She is my Little Monkey!
my son just turned 6 months 2 days ago and last night i had him sitting in front of the couch and he grabbed onto the couch and pulled himself up!! im so proud of my little guy…he was standing strong!!
i know it doesnt answer your question…sorry…hes still too little to climb onto things.
About 14 to 15 months. It started with trying, then he became very successful at it. Now at 17 he is a pro at climbing onto anything.
I would say he will be climbing before you know it. It was very nerve racking at first, as he was still figuring out good balance for walking on couches, the bed, etc.
My daughter is 10 months old and if someone is sitting on the floor in front of the couch, she can use them to get herself up on the couch.
