How much does the normal computer chair hold in pounds? I’m almost 400 lbs and all my chairs keep breaking?

I just broke my 4th chair this year. Don’t bother telling me to diet, I tried and cant. I need gastric bypass but cant afford it. I even bought a 2oo dollar chair and after about a month or 2 it broke. What brands would best suit me, for a computer chair and how much weight do average chairs for the computer hold? Serious answers only, no need to be mean.

I personally use Aeron Chairs at the office. I was 255 pounds but have lost 55 pounds since 2005. I was on my way to 300 pounds, so I understand your frustration. These chairs are expensive (up to $1200, ebay has them for under $500), but are industrial and will offer you support and strength you are looking for. The construction at the base is steel/magnesium and built like a tank. I have a feeling the chairs you are purchasing are poorly constructed from Staples, Costco, or some other office retailer.

Also, be sure you get the right size. You can download brochures directly from the site on the chairs. They offer sizing by letter, A, B, and C.
If these chairs are breaking at the office or workplace, they are legally obligated to purchase a chair for you that offers proper lumbar support.
Dude…use a beach chair…or consider losing some weight…im not tryin to be mean…or just lay in your bed and use it…
