I agree. Spray Bitter Apple on any object your animal is chewing on. It will not wreck your furniture. You can even use it on wood. My sister has a puppy and this stuff turns her right off to chewing whatever this is sprayed on.
Spray a product on the chair called bitter apple.
Try putting something distasteful on the piece of furniture your cat is chewing on. Tabasco sauce, cayenne pepper, Bitter Apple/Orange, nail-biting nailpolish, orange/lemon peel.

Bitter bite – I think that’s what it is called. It’s a spray that won’t harm your furniture but tastes nasty and "repells" cats from biting.
Spray Bitter apple on it or put double side tape at spots she wants to chew or claw. They hate the sticky feeling. If you are there when she tries spray her with a little water from a spray bottle. After you repeat this several times leave the spray bottle in view as a deteriant.
Let me ask you if you have some kind of cat scratch pole. Cats need some form of pole with carpet wrapped around it so that they can scratch and chew because it is part of their instinct. The pole should be made out of wood. If you already have this, then try putting on some Tabasco sauce where it likes to chew. I assure you that the cat will not chew at that same point again.
