Help hang corbel without nails or screws?
I have a new condo with a breakfast bar. The two corbels that match my cupboard were laying on top of the counter in case "I" wanted to install them. My son and a good friend looked and said there is no place to put screws or nails so we just left it go.
I want only one corbel on the end of the counter where your eyes go as soon as you come in the door because the other end hits a wall and you would not see it anyway. Can I glue it up to the end I can see? It would only be decorative and is not needed as support in any way.
This is a formica counter top bar counter from my kitchen sink into the living area where there are stools. The formica counter top seems to have a masonite board on the bottom of it and of course the wall is drywall painted. I simply would like to get some kind of construction glue and go from under the counter top onto the wall on the very end.
I have no way to clamp it or brace it that I can think of. Is there any way I can add the pretty corbel to the edge just for looks. If I try one of the fast dry glues could I use some kind of tape or how long would I have to hang on to it so it would not fall down?
Thanks for any thoughts, Donna

You can glue wood to wood using wood glue and it sets up in 5 mins. You can prop it up with a chair or broom handle or something.
You cant glue to dry wall as it is just gluing to paper.
So if I understand, glue to the underside masonite with wood glue. Scrape off any paint first so you are glueing to wood.
