when i looked down in the bar stool next to my friend i saw a leather binder with no i.d. in it of any kind inside of it was a bank envelope with 5,200.00 in it i gave it to the bartender then tried to see if we could find out who it belonged to an hour later a man came in and it was his money after he got his money back he bought me a 2 dollar beer for my good deed i personally thought that was very shitty dont get me wrong i didnt return it for the reward which there was none i did it because it was the right thing to do but i would have given no less than a 100 dollar bill if not to he was a very lucky man that i found it most of the people i told about this said they would not have returned it what do you think????

What you did is from your inner mind and soul, you could have taken the entire money and had Beer fro the month happily. You might think what he did was small just $2.
Now imagine if the money was not his own and he is a custodian of it for some purpose and acting as a pure messenger and had obligations, he may not be in a condition to gift you more as he is not the owner, internally he might have felt what he did was small (sure about it).
Certainly he will be thanking God and in turn you would be blessed which is much more than the gift value. Don’t feel bad be happy you will be rewarded by God.*
U did the right thing, he should have do more for finding it for him.
Honestly, I would say that he is a bit of a skinflint, but I do not know his circumstances – the cash may have been all he had in the world and he was going to do something important with it for his family… who can know what another’s situation is? But, if I had returned the money with no thought of reward, I would place no value whatsoever on his actions. Whether he bought me a drink or completely ignored me would have no emotional content because the context was my behavior not his. So let it go and be satisfied that you did the right thing for the right reason.
Great Job!!!!!!I’, proud of you but he should have did better because some ppl would of just took it…
