Furniture shopping, where to start?
I will be doing my shopping in the UK. I have a lot to buy. Nursery furniture and bedding for a boy. A little girls room totally from scratch. A big rustic looking dining room table and chairs, living room furniture (except sofas). A new King size bed, and bedding for Hubby and I. Ikea is great for bits n pieces, but NOT for furniture, our Ikea stuff has fallen apart and we’ve hardly had it 3 years. We would like good quality, not overpriced classic style things. Help!

1) work out a budget. How much do you want to spend in each room?
2) work out a color & style scheme. Is there a particular style you like or dislike?
3) measure the rooms, and estimate how big each piece could be to fit where you want it. Try several arrangements to see what works for you.
4) Start shopping. Depending on your budget, you may be going to furniture stores, outlet stores, antique stores, or garage sales, flea markets, tag sales, or whatever they are called in the UK.
