What’s to debate? yes, you can sit at cheers…
One thing Paul warns about is leading another brother/sister into temptation though… so it’s something to be cautious about.
I shouldn’t have said that – I don’t believe that a Christian is any less a Christian because they drink the occasional alcoholic beverage….that being said, I do wonder about the person professing to be a Christian who is drunk every night of the week – but it could be that person is going through something difficult and has slipped in their faith…..I TRY not to judge…..
Of course. I moved to a new town and the first thing the minister said was gee, isn’t it better this is our church than the bar it was and he went on to bash people that go to bars. There is nothing wrong with having a drink with friends. The wrong was in the mind of the minister and I didn’t go back to that church. I sure don’t want a small minded person trying to preach to me.
What’s to debate? We can go to a bar and drink, nothing in the Book says we can’t. And if per chance there is a holy infraction, all we have to do is ask for forgiveness and we are.
Drinking is not prohibited. But if you are a recovering alcoholic and a born-again Christian, sitting in a bar is tempting to go back to what you’ve been delivered from.
But if you and your friends have no problems with drinking, that’s not an issue.
I will go to sports bars with friends – sit at the bar to watch games. I might order food and soda – but i wont drink. Just my preference.

Yes. I just recently went with a friend to grab a bite to eat at a bar. We sat at the bar he ordered a drink. Nothing wrong with that.

Yes.
You are who you are…no matter WHERE you are.
Absolutely! Jesus in the Bilble drank wine which is acohaul. The bible just says not to get drunk because it impaires your judgement
Definitely. To thine own God and self be true! Cheers!
Drug and alcohol abuse are both equal opportunity.

Uh… sure? why not?
Yes everyone is a sinner. No one is perfect.
Sure you can…unless Cheers is located in hell. If you find yourself there, you are not a Christian!
i dont think its wron until it takes over your life but if its done every now and then i dont see anything wrong with it
