Can I have two different style chairs in the living room with the same fabric design?

I don’t have enough room for two wing chairs so I purchased a wing chair and a rounded chair with the same fabric design. I’m worried that it won’t look right. Am I breaking the rules by having two different style chairs? The furniture is being delivered this week.

I would not worry about using the same fabric on two different styles of chairs. Actually, you made the right choice. By selecting the same fabrics you have united the two pieces, even though the styles are different, the fabric is in common.
Do not second guess yourself, you did the right thing. Too many patterns in a small room is a mistake which you just avoided.
Enjoy your new furniture.
P.S. If your upholstered furniture is not already Scotch Guarded, please consider protecting your fabric with this fantastic product that will repel stains and spills. It really does work if you follow the directions on the can.
