Any suggestions on how to make a bar stool taller? It’s 29″, but I want it to be 32″.?

I’m thinking something along the lines of something I could put under the legs to raise it up several inches. Do they sell anything like that? Like extensions? Any other ideas to add some height?

Could you just put some extra padding on the seat?
It would make it more comfortable if done correctly, and it will make it taller.
You could make the seat itself thicker and then pad the top…
Messing with the legs will be time consuming, expensive, it will probably not look good, and it will create a weak spot making breaking it easier.
If you raise the legs 3 inches, it will take very little pressure to torque the extension and cause the stool to collapse.
You’re better off (and safer) replacing the barstools or living with the 3" difference. Look on your local craigslist to see if anyone is giving away barstools.
