A dream that has been bothering me since i was little?

This dream was kinda scary but short, and i had this dream when i was kinda young not really accurate about it. All i could remember is that i had been sleeping in my parents room i wake up and walk outside the room to my left is a bar stool thing. a red man glowing red was smoking a cigerette and laughing in a creepy way. i woke up in fright. any ideas what it might mean?
